Medical certificates: fit-to-fly, sick note and insurance reports
Need a fit-to-fly certificate, sickness documentation for your university or employer, or a medical report for your travel insurer? An English-speaking doctor issues certificates after a consultation — usually the same day.
Book a certificate consultation
The certificate is based on the doctor’s own examination on the day — bring any relevant documents.
The price is for the consultation; any tests carried out during the visit are added at their own price. Pay by card in the clinic — no prepayment.

Certificates we issue
- Fit-to-fly certificate — After illness, injury, surgery or in pregnancy, when the airline asks for medical clearance. Bring the airline’s form if they have one.
- Sick note / sickness certificate — Documentation of illness for your employer, university or exam office (for example missed exams or study-abroad requirements).
- Insurance medical report — A short report of the consultation, diagnosis and treatment for your travel or health insurer, together with an itemised receipt.
- Cancellation and curtailment — Documentation that you were unfit to travel or had to cut a trip short, for cancellation-insurance claims.
- Medication letter — A letter stating the medication you carry, for customs or airport security.
- Other certificates — Ask us — most certificates that a GP can issue based on a consultation are possible.
How it works
Book online
Choose “Medical certificate” and tell us in the comment which certificate you need and any deadline.
Consultation
The doctor examines you and reviews any documents. A certificate can only describe what the doctor can confirm on the day — we cannot backdate or certify illness we did not see.
Certificate
Issued in English, signed and stamped, printed and/or emailed as a PDF, usually before you leave the clinic.
Price and payment
A consultation costs DKK 1,000 and lasts 15 minutes. The price is fixed and shown before you book. You pay by card in the clinic after your visit and receive an itemised receipt straight away — most travel and international health insurance policies reimburse a GP visit.
The certificate is included in the consultation fee; if your insurer or airline requires a longer report or extra examinations, we tell you the price first. There is no prepayment and no deposit.
Frequently asked questions
Can you write a sick note for days I was already ill?
The doctor can document what you report and what is found at the examination, and will state the date of the consultation. A certificate cannot claim to confirm illness on earlier days the doctor did not see you.
Will my university or insurer accept it?
Certificates are issued in English by a Danish-authorised doctor with the clinic’s stamp and details, which is accepted by most institutions and insurers. Bring their form if they have a specific one.
How fast can I get a fit-to-fly certificate?
Usually at the consultation itself — book a time before your flight and bring your booking and any hospital papers.
Do you issue certificates for driving licences or visas?
Not usually — these often require specific forms or tests. Contact us with the form before booking and we will tell you if we can help.
Need a certificate before you travel?
Book a consultation — certificates are usually issued the same day.
