Consultations are with our specialist midwives, who have postgraduate training in gynaecology and in gynaecological and obstetric ultrasound. Most problems are diagnosed and treated at the first visit.
The price is for the consultation; any tests carried out during the visit are added at their own price. Pay by card in the clinic — no prepayment.

- Thrush (yeast infection) — itching, white discharge, soreness
- Bacterial vaginosis — thin, grey, fishy-smelling discharge
- Unusual discharge or bleeding between periods or after sex
- Pelvic pain and painful periods — with ultrasound in the clinic when relevant
- Period problems — missed, heavy or irregular periods; help delaying a period while travelling

What happens at the appointment
Talk
The midwife asks about your symptoms, cycle and contraception — in private and in English.
Examination, tests and ultrasound
A gynaecological examination is offered when needed; swabs for infections, a pregnancy test and — when relevant — a gynaecological ultrasound scan can be done during the visit.
Treatment
Thrush and bacterial vaginosis are usually treated the same day. Where a prescription is needed it is issued through the clinic’s doctors and sent electronically to a pharmacy; some treatments are available over the counter and we tell you which.
Price and payment
A consultation costs DKK 1,000 and lasts 30 minutes. The price is fixed and shown before you book. You pay by card in the clinic after your visit and receive an itemised receipt straight away — most travel and international health insurance policies reimburse a GP visit.
If a laboratory test or a longer consultation is needed, we tell you the price before we go ahead. There is no prepayment and no deposit.
Frequently asked questions
Who will I see?
One of our specialist midwives — all women — with postgraduate training in gynaecology and in gynaecological and obstetric ultrasound. They work alongside the clinic’s GPs, so if a doctor’s assessment is needed it is arranged the same day.
Is a midwife the right person for a gynaecological problem?
Yes. In Denmark midwives are authorised health professionals, and ours are further trained in gynaecology and ultrasound. Discharge, infections, pelvic pain and period problems are everyday work for them.
Do you do smear tests (cervical screening)?
Routine screening is not part of a visitor consultation, but the midwife can take a sample on medical indication and advise you on follow-up at home.
Could my symptoms be an STI?
Sometimes. Chlamydia, gonorrhoea and other infections can be tested in the same visit — see STI testing.
I think I might be pregnant.
We can do a pregnancy test, and an early pregnancy scan in the same building — see pregnancy test.
