What is usually extra elsewhere
When you compare clinics, check what the headline price actually covers. Lab tests, longer consultations and certificates are often billed separately. Our consultation price includes the tests we take during the visit — if anything beyond that is ever needed, you are told the price before we go ahead.
Public healthcare, EHIC and insurance
If you are an EU citizen with an EHIC card, medically necessary public treatment — emergency care via 1813, hospital care — is covered. But public GP clinics generally cannot take visitors for booked appointments, which is why private clinics exist for everything in between.
Most travel and international health insurance policies reimburse private GP visits. You pay by card and receive an itemised receipt immediately — that is what your insurer needs.
